What Can You Do?

Internal Monologue 1: What can you do? You are just one person. You can only control your own words and actions. You are not responsible for what others do, or capable of changing it. It is not up to you. It is not your choice to make.

Stop. Change the italics. Change the meaning.

Internal Monologue 2: What can you do? You can control your own words and actions. You can be a model. You can take small steps, even on your own, to change yourself. You can find allies who will support you. You can find your voice, one word, at a time. You can make change.
